  2. Registration fees or expenses associated with the NIGP National Forum.
  3. Registration fees or expenses associated with any NIGP or IAPPO Chapter Vendor Exposition and Training Conference.
  4. Oral and written certification examination fees (CPPO and CPPB only), particularly if the applicant’s entity has denied the funding.

  • Scholarship awards are based on a point system. Applications for scholarship must be accompanied by a letter stating that application for funds was first made to the requestor’s entity (agency).
  • Late submittals will not be considered. Points will be considered for activities during the preceding calendar year. Scholarships will be awarded as soon as practicable, and recipients will be notified by mail.
  • Scholarship points are nontransferable.
  • Evidence or supporting documentation of points earned must be submitted with application.
  • Only the points shown on the application will be used.
  • Points may be awarded only for accomplishments within the calendar year immediately preceding the application (with the exception of points for certifications such as CPPB, CPPO, CPM, etc.).
  • Applications must be submitted by the established deadline. No late applications will be considered.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the committee and recommended to the President for approval, whose decision will be final.
  • Awards will be based on the highest score.  In cases of tie scores, the IAPPO Board reserves the right to determine the final scholarship awards at its discretion based on a majority vote of the Board.
  • The number of Scholarships awarded will be based on budgeted funds. IAPPO reserves the right to limit the number of scholarships awarded per person per year.  IAPPO anticipates awarding up to three (3) scholarships for the current application period.  Scholarships will be awarded based upon the point system established.
  • Scholarships will not cover meals.
  • The scholarship award must be used within one (1) calendar year from the date of the award, unless a prescheduled NIGP seminar or other function has been canceled. Failure to use the awarded scholarship shall forfeit the individual’s rights to said funds, and the funds shall be returned to the IAPPO Scholarship Program for future applicants.
